diff:This section controls the options passed to 'diff' and hence the output text displayed in the panes.
diffb:"diff -b":   this option treats any number of consecutive white-space characters between words as equivalent to a single space, and extra spaces after the end of a line are ignored.|M\Adeselect both options.
diffw:"diff -w":   if this option is selected, changes in indentation at the start of a line are ignored, as are extra spaces inserted or missing from the middle of words, and all other changes in white-space.|M\Adeselect both options.
diffi:"diff -i":   this option will ignore any changes between upper- and lower-case text when checking for differences.
diffbb:"diff -B":   this option will ignore changes that merely consist of adding or deleting blank lines.
difft:"diff -t":   all tabs will be expanded into an equivalent number of spaces (and written back as such when editing). Alternatively, tabs will appear as a single space and will not align properly (but will be preserved when edited).
diffwh:"diff -U32767":   this option attempts to display the whole file by forcing 'diff' to include a very large number of lines of 'context'.   The option below will be greyed out if this is selected.
diffU:"diff -U|<n|>":   this option controls how many lines of unchanged text are displayed to separate differing sections.|M
bump:Use the arrow icons to alter the context setting.
basic:"diff -F^DEF":   when comparing BASIC files, use the nearest function/procedure definition as a heading for each section of differences.
text:When comparing files which are not tokenised BASIC, display the heading type defined below at the start of each section of differences.
C:"diff -p":  display the nearest C function definition at the start of each section of differences.
regexp:"diff -F<regexp>":   use the nearest line which matches the regular expression specified below as a header for each section of differences.

display:This section controls the cosmetic appearance of the main \w.
col:These icons allow you to set the colours that will be used for various parts of the display.
pick:|M\Schoose a colour from the colour picker \w.
palette:\Spick one of the 16 Wimp colours.|M\Akeep the \w open.

off:\Ssuppress the display of line numbers altogether.
auto:\Sallow the program to calculate a suitable column width to display line numbers.
min:\Sforce the line numbers column always to be at least the specified width (wider if necessary).
num:Enter a width in OS units.


fontpane:This section controls the default font used in the main \w.
samp:\Tsample display icon.|MIt shows you what your font choices will look like on-screen.
size:Select the size for your font here from the pop-up menu.
hght:To alter the aspect of the font, choose a different height here from the pop-up menu.
same:This icon controls whether you can alter the height and width of the font separately.
fontname:Select the name of your font here from the pop-up menu.

misc:This section controls miscellaneous user interface options.
bak:When editing, create '~bak' directory next to file being changed and save previous version of file in there.|M(Warning: only ONE level of backup is possible!)
copy:Deselect block to indicate a successful copy to the global clipboard.|M(Otherwise, current selection remains in force as per Style Guide.)
error:Suppress any '%0' errors when unexpected input is encountered, simply omitting such lines from display.
quiet:Suppress any '%0' errors and simply disable editing silently.
